The 2025 Champions Trophy is set to take place in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, 2025. The last time India played against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy was in the final of the 2017 edition, where India lost by a huge margin of 180 runs. In the 2025 Champions Trophy, India is scheduled to play Pakistan in Lahore on March 1st during the group stage. The Pakistan Cricket Board is ensuring that all arrangements, including security and facilities, are of the highest standard to provide a successful and memorable cricketing experience and to promote cricket in Pakistan.
However, India’s participation is still not confirmed by the highest governing body of cricket.
According to a report, India is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy due to ongoing political differences between the two countries. The Cricket board of Pakistan proposed that all of India’s group stage matches be played in Lahore for security reasons.
In a similar situation last year, India did not participate in the Asia Cup hosted by Pakistan, and the matches were moved to Sri Lanka.
